      <title>Water transport mechanism</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Embolization or depletion of the tracheids lumens have been elaborated over the course of evolution that indicates its usefulness and the need for the ontogeny of plants. Why do biologists are looking for opportunities to overcome this phenomenon, for 20 years? Maybe in the xylem vulnerability curves are hidden vulnerability of C-T-theory as well as the scientific paradigms about the continuous column of water in the cells lumens. It is wonder why do the very complex designs as secondary walls and pit pairs perform so simple functions? Does anyone know if there is a water movement within the secondary walls really impossible? Are pit pairs an air barrier? In other words, an existing paradigm about the mechanism of water transport in plants which has developed over the last 150 years already inhibits the development both of the plant physiology and of woodworking. I propose to start a discussion regarding the well-known phenomena such as evaporation of water through the pit pairs membranes in the drying process and the stomatal transpiration. While at first glance it might appear that these two issues are unrelated to the problem at hand. But let’s try. 
In both cases, the heat carrier flow passes through the diaphragm. Presence of the counter flows, namely the heat flow during drying and flow of CO2 during transpiration, are beyond doubt. Yes, but first question is: what kind they are and what are their motive forces. I argue that are the water flows.]]></description>

      <title>Minimum Duration of Sap Flow Measurements</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Dear colleagues!

I'm new in sap flow measurements and I would like to know:
(1) What is the minimum duration of measurement (for a scientific work) if you want to distinguish between different genotypes (rootstock effect in apples) without a particular treatment (water stress, etc.). I'm asking this because I have a limited no of sensor and I would like to make repetitions within the block (change sensor between shoots and trees)

(2) When presenting sap flow measurement, is it best to show the complete set or only several days which are typical of the period and maybe combined with high/low radiation, soil water potential, temperature?

      <title>Leaf lamina hydraulic conductance (Klamina) and leaf hydraulic conductance (Kleaf)</title>

I would like to start to work on leaf hydraulics. I have been reading some papers regarding this topic and I do not know the difference betweeen Klamina and Kleaf. I am not sure if both terms means the same or not.

      <title>problems with winRhizo</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Hello!
I´m trying to scan some roots with the program win Rhizo, I´ve seen the protocol in this web and I´ve followed it, trying to measure a wire with known lenght and diameter. I´ve scanned it at many different levels of resolution and different scales of colour (grey levels, colour..) and I obtain different results and only one which match with the real measure. Then, I´ve tried that option with a different wire and again I can´t get the real measure. Can anybody give me some advice?

I found this website very useful after www.plantstress.com 
Since I am also running a web based group Plant Stress Physiology titled as PlantStress

I would like to highly acclaimed its usefulness. However, it is requested that most of plant physiologists and molecular biologists are focusing oxidative stress responses in plants under salt stress (Munns and Tester, 2008), water stress, heavy metal stress, flooding stress, abiotic stress (Apel and Hirt, 2004), it is necessary to upload lab protocols for how to extract antioxidant enzymes, SOD, CAT, POD, GSH etc and how calculations were made. I have also done this job with help of my colleagues in another institution. 

Similarly, Chlorophyll fluorescence is another important tool for screening for stress tolerance in breeding program as well as to find out underlying mechanisms. Since people are using different nomenclature OJIP curves etc using different instruments it is also necessary to put detail protocols for this
